Un orologio davvero accattivante e aggressivo. Recensione NB6004-08E
La collezione Promaster nasce ufficialmente nel 1989, ma le sue origini risalgono almeno a 30 anni prima.
PARASHOCK E PROMASTER
E' del 1956 il primo antesignano dei Promaster, un orologio resistente agli urti, il Citizen Parashock, mentre nel 1959 nasce il primo orologio Citizen subacqueo, il Citizen Parawater.
In quel periodo Citizen sfidò se stessa impegnandosi in diverse imprese epiche per dimostrare la solidità dei suoi prodotti.
In particolare il Parashock fu lasciato cadere da un elicottero in diverse località del Giappone e in tutti i casi l'orologio continuò a funzionare.
Il Parawater fu agganciato a uno boa e trascinato con successo fino a riva.
Della prima collezione Promaster fanno parte orologi pensati all'utilizzo in aria (Sky, antenato dei moderni radiocontrollati e satellitari), mare (Aqualand, anche se il primissimo è antecedente ai Promaster) e terra (Altichron dotato di altimetro).
ORCA WHALE
Il modello che recensiamo è il Citizen Promaster NB6004-08E denominato Orca Whale.
Si tratta di un subacqueo meccanico automatico con cassa in Supertitanium e 40 ore di riserva di carica.
Presenta una corona pronunciata e una ghiera molto lavorata in stile diamantato, facile da girare anche quando si indossano i guanti.
La trama della corona e della ghiera è ripresa anche sul quadrante.
Di notevole pregio il cinturino in poliuretano, setoso al tatto, risulta estremamente comodo da indossare. Con l'orologio si ha in dotazione anche una prolunga da utilizzare se lo si indossa sulla muta.
Calibro 9051, un calibro relativamente nuovo per Citizen.
Altri elementi di rilievo sono vetro zaffiro, corona e fondello a vite.
